Meet Rick D. Davis, DDS
Son to an Airforce pilot, Dr. Davis is a graduate of high school in Tokyo, Japan. He further attended college at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, before entering the Airforce as a general dentist in 1978. Until he retired from active duty in 1999, Dr. Davis maintained a general dental practice in the United States Airforce.
During this time, he completed the Air Force one-year AEGD and two-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency. Additionally, he finalized a fellowship in biomaterials at the University of Indiana. Over his 21 year Air Force career, he served as a clinical instructor, lecturer, and research director for twelve years and has published multiple scientific articles.
About Rick S. Shwartz, DDS
Dr. Rick Shwartz attained his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 1977. Before entering post-graduate training in endodontics, he became a restorative dentist for nearly two decades. During his early career, he attended a 2-year general dentistry residency while in the U.S Airforce, doing a combination of private practice, teaching, and dental materials research, before enrolling in endodontic training in 1996.
To date, he has authored more than 100 articles and abstracts in scientific journals and has been a cover author of “Fundamentals of Operative Dentistry” by Quintessence Publishing Co. Moreover, he is the first author of the book “Best Practices in Endodontics” and a cover author of the book “Advanced Cone Beam Computed Tomography for Endodontics.” Dr. Rick has further lectured extensively within the U.S and seventeen other states.
Since 1998, Dr. Shwartz has been in around-the-clock private practice limited to endodontics in San Antonio, TX, where he practices alongside Rick Davis since 2001. He is married to his wife, Jeanette, has a daughter working in engineering in Austin with two grandchildren.
